We are thrilled to announce that renowned artist and stage designer, Es Devlin, will be returning to Cranbrook as the guest of honour for our Speech Day on Saturday, 25th May. Es, an Old Cranbrookian, has captivated global audiences with her innovative and immersive designs that push the boundaries of art and technology.

Es' work explores themes of biodiversity, linguistic diversity and collective AI-generated poetry. She views the audience as a temporary society, encouraging profound cognitive shifts through public participation in communal choral works. Her versatile canvas spans public sculptures and installations at prestigious venues such as the Tate Modern, V&A, Serpentine, Imperial War Museum and the United Nations General Assembly. Her kinetic stage designs have graced the stages of the Royal Opera House, the National Theatre, and the Metropolitan Opera, as well as global spectacles like Olympic ceremonies, Super Bowl half-time shows and monumental illuminated stage sculptures for icons such as Beyoncé, The Weeknd, Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, and U2.

Furthermore, we highly encourage everyone to explore Es' exhibition at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. This exhibition provides a deep dive into her groundbreaking work and creative process. For more information, visit www.cooperhewitt.org/channel/es-devlin.
