Cranbrook School has a long history of fostering strong bonds between its students and their alma mater, and Peter Le Voir (Class of1972) is a great example of this enduring connection. A visit last week saw Peter return to the school where he met with Head, David Clark, and myself to reminisce about his time at Cranbrook, his career and his commitment to supporting the school and its future generations.
After leaving Cranbrook, Peter went on to study at St John’s College, Cambridge, before beginning a career in finance with a US bank. He later transitioned into entrepreneurship, co-founding Rhokett Limited in 2002 alongside Michelin-starred chef Gary Rhodes OBE and Martin Dockett. Rhokett, based in Kent, has earned a reputation for producing premium chilled desserts for major retailers and foodservice clients. In 2021, the company was acquired by Spanish food group Palacios, marking a significant milestone in its growth.
Throughout his career, Peter has been involved in multiple start-ups and exits as a director and principal, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and leadership. He remains keen to share his experiences and is open to engaging with students on topics such as entrepreneurship and the application of Economics in business.
Alongside his professional achievements, Peter has remained deeply connected to Cranbrook School. His generosity has supported key developments, including the transformation of the old gym into the Sixth Form Centre and the renovation of the library roof. During his recent visit, he further demonstrated his commitment by donating specialist books to the library and pledging financial support for Cranbrook Gives, the school's upcoming Giving Day, as a match funder.
Peter's ongoing dedication exemplifies the enduring bonds that Cranbrook fosters among its alumni. His story serves as an inspiration to fellow Old Cranbrookians, highlighting the profound impact of staying connected and giving back to the school community.
We are deeply grateful to Peter for his unwavering support and look forward to welcoming him back to Cranbrook School in the future. If you are a member of our school community, Old Cranbrookian or not, and would like to support Cranbrook Gives as a match funder, please get in touch—we’d love to hear from you!
