Cranbrook School is delighted and proud to announce the remarkable achievements of its students in this year’s A-Level examinations, achieving an outstanding 36.4% of grades at A*- A, with an impressive 67% grades awarded being A* - B.

Our upper sixth students have secured places at prestigious universities across the UK and abroad, including Cambridge, Oxford, Bath, Durham, Edinburgh, Exeter, UCL, LSE and Imperial. This reflects not only the academic prowess of our students but also the supportive and enriching environment at Cranbrook.

An impressive number of the cohort will be heading off to their choice of university to study courses as diverse as art, economics, engineering and medicine. A reflection of the breadth and diversity on offer at Cranbrook.

While there are too many exceptional students to name individually, we would like to celebrate a few of our outstanding performers. Sophie S achieved an extraordinary four straight A*s, Matthew H and Felicity C secured three A*s and one A, with Scarlett D, Arabella C, Leah F, and Theodore H all achieving three straight A*s.

Boarding student Alex M also received three A*s and has been accepted to read History at Jesus College Cambridge. Alex commented:

This would not have been possible without the endless support I received from the Sixth Form team. I have received excellent pastoral care and academic support whilst simultaneously being provided with plentiful super curricular, co-curricular and sport opportunities which undoubtedly have contributed in helping me achieve my goal.

Timothy K, Rammell House Captain and an International Boarder, achieved two A* and one A and will read Politics and Economics at the LSE. Timothy reflected:

Boarding in Cranbrook has provided me with endless opportunities to progress my academic and personal interests, allowing all individuals to thrive and prosper. I would like to extend my profound gratitude to Cranbrook for all it has given me over the past 5 years.

Leading the international charge, Scarlett B achieved two A*s and one A and secured a scholarship to attend George Washington University in Washington DC in their acclaimed Women as Leaders Programme to study English, Language arts, and Literature. Scarlett commented on her success:

I am incredibly grateful for the guidance and support offered via the CUSP programme and in boarding during my time at Cranbrook; with their help I was spoilt for choice after gaining a range of offers and merit-based scholarships in both the UK and back here in the US!

David Clark, Head, reflected on Cranbrook’s upper sixth results:

I have loved working with this cohort during my first year at Cranbrook and I have been so impressed with their talents, abilities, hard work and charm – and I am so pleased that they have secured the results that they deserved. At the top end, results were pretty stunning but I am equally delighted with the results gained across the board. I was particularly heartened by the truly extraordinary outcomes for our boarding students – testimony to the brilliant boarding environment that helps students of all abilities to work in a structured and supportive way. We will miss them all terribly but we are envious that they are about to embark on exciting journeys and adventures at university, at work or on their travels around the world. I have no doubt that, in time, these students will be doing remarkable things and will make positive impacts and contributions wherever they go.

As we celebrate these remarkable achievements, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the entire Class of 2024. Your hard work, resilience and dedication have not only brought you outstanding academic success but have also prepared you for the exciting paths that lie ahead. Whether you're heading to university, starting a new career or taking time to explore the world, we wish you all the best in your future endeavours. We are immensely proud of all you have accomplished and we look forward to seeing the remarkable contributions you will undoubtedly make in the years to come as Old Cranbrookians. Best of luck to each and every one of you!
